It has been announced that the Paraguayan national team will have a friendly game against the El Tri of Mexico, a game which will be played later in March.

This match will see former El Tri manager, Juan Carlos Osorio, come up against many of the players he coached during his time in charge of the Mexican national team. He will not have many fond memories of El Tri following series of poor results when he was at the helm.

The newly appointed coach for Paraguay national football team Juan Carlos Osorio talks about his plans for his new team. The Columbian accepted the offer to become the national team coach with Paraguay this time as they have not reached the world finals from 2010. The 57-year-old spoke to media about his prime reasons that made him accept the offer. He spoke about the philosophy of coaching and his expectations from the squad.

When Osorio was at the World Cup, he enjoyed being in the day to day level so much that he wondered if he should go back to managing the club. However, he realized it’s a great thing to be in the competition of that level in Russia. Therefore, he was on the lookout for a national team wherein he would obtain an opportunity to go to the World Cup to have a great experience of the day-to-day match. As far as South America is concerned, it mainly focuses on micro cycles. The training takes place from Monday to Thursday with the players and then they are back at their clubs to play during the weekends. Well, Paraguay operates in the same manner as there are 10 teams and he would work with a group of players. He will also try his best to improve the game played by the players through training and also through competition.

West Ham defender Fabian Balbuena moved to West Ham to fulfill his ambition to play in a top European league and to improve his international credentials. The 7-cap Paraguay International has earned a revocation of his country. And he believes this has happened as a result of moving to West Ham. In an interview published by the club official website, Balbuena explained that moving to England was always his ambition.

Former Mexico coach Juan Carlos Osorio has been named as the new Paraguay coach and has been charged with the task of qualifying them for the next Copa America and the World Cup. Juan Carlos Osorio who comes from Colombia was the coach of Mexico at the last World Cup in Russia.

Ever since reaching the quarter-final of the World Cup in 2010, Paraguay has failed to replicate the same form in the last two World Cups and will be hoping that Juan Carlos Osorio will inspire to success.

West Ham have been able to confirm the signing of Paraguay defenderFabián Balbuena from Brazilian outfit Corinthians. The 26-year-old is one of the latest acquisitions for West Ham, who are ready to spend big in the summer. He has been with the Brazilian team for the last two years and he has made the switch to West Ham for an undisclosed fee. It is highly unlikely thatBalbuena will face issues with regards to work permit, as he has featured in seven games for the Paraguay national team. His arrival marks the sixth new signing for West Ham.

Manuel Pellegrini has been appointed as the new coach for West Ham. The former Manchester City manager is used to working with a lot of new faces at once. He has already been backed by the signings of Jack Wilshere andAndriy Yarmolenko. The club have set their sights on finishing in Europe in the upcoming campaign. The biggest signing for the team during the summer has been French under 21 international defenderIssa Diop, who has been brought in for a fee of £ 22 million. Thus, West Ham have been able to break their transfer record in doing so. The club have also strengthened in other areas of the pitch by bringing in Swansea goalkeeper Lukas Fabianski and Fulham defender Ryan Fredericks.

Paraguay coach Gustavo Morinigo has confirmed that the upcoming friendly against Japan will witness goalkeeper Justo Villar making his final appearance for the national team. Even though Paraguay will be focused more on trying to bring to the task cohesion within a team of young faces, there was a lot of focus on Villar coming into the game. The goalkeeper was unable to control his tears when he was asked questions by the journalist. The goalkeeper will turn 41 next month and he has represented Paraguay in 119 matches – across eight Copa America tournaments and three world cups.

Villar’s best achievement with the national team was reaching the latter stages of the World Cup 2010. Paraguay conceded only two goals throughout the tournament in order to end up reaching the quarter-finals. Paraguay looked to go beyond the disappointment of not reaching the World Cup 2018 by coming in with a strong performance against the United States in a friendly match. The Paraguayan team narrowly missed out on the World Cup spot after finishing just two points behind Peru, who reached the World Cup through a play-off with New Zealand.

A late goal conceded against Venezuela led to Paraguay finishing outside the play-off places. Memories of this horrendous defeat will be in the memory for Paraguay, who has interim manager Gustavo Morinigo in charge of the duties coming into the game.

Real Betis are facing the threat of losing striker Antonio Sanabria next summer, as the forward has been made the target of Diego Simeone and Atletico Madrid. The Paraguay forward has been a strong player for Real Sociedad since coming to the club from Roma in the summer of 2016. After having started out his career with Barcelona in 2009 as a youth player, he made a couple of appearances for the B team at the Catalan club. He left for Sassuolo in 2014 and then represented Roma in a couple of matches over a two-year spell. From here, he made the return to Real Betis. This was his permanent return to Spanish football, although he spent a season on loan at Sporting Gijon.

The 21-year-old is a highly rated player and he has been able to grab 11 goals in 32 appearances for Real Betis. After having come up with five goals in 24 games last season, the 2017-18 campaign has witnessed an even greater improvement in performances from the Paraguayan. He has come up with seven goals in just 10 appearances. The impressive goal tally has not gone unnoticed, as the forward has gone on to make more appearances at the national team level. He has scored one goal in his nine games for Paraguay.

Paraguay national team coachFrancisco Arce says that his team are confident about getting a positive result against Chile in the upcoming World Cup qualifier.

The national team comes on the back of a disastrous run after losing five out of the last six games in all competitions – even in terms of friendlies. Paraguay are in a very poor position with regard to qualifying for the World Cup. The South American qualification group consists of 10 teams with only four progressing into the finals automatically, while a fifth team has to encounter a play-off.

The Paraguayan national team are placed heat in the table after only 18 points from the opening 14 matches. However, the biggest hope for the national team is finishing in the fifth spot and at least being involved in the play-offs. Paraguay will have to overcome the biggest hurdle in the form of Argentina, who are fifth in the table. Ecuador and Peru are also ahead in the table. More Link
